THRIVE Initiatives

District Partnerships
We begin our engagement with districts by exploring what existing practices are already working, determining growth goals, and co-constructing further systems of support. Together with a District Advisory Committee–made up of new teachers, veteran educators, and school leaders–we then create and get continuous feedback on a phased, sustainable implementation of THRIVE programming.
Central Texas Community of Practice
The Central Texas Community of Practice, hosted by THRIVE, creates the routine opportunity for a diverse set of educational leaders to convene, build relationships, and work on solutions to one of the most challenging problems that impacts public education: teacher retention.

REST Conference
REST is a 1-day event for anyone interested in collaboratively exploring how to better Retain, Equip, and Sustain new teachers so that they can THRIVE. Formerly our Summer Mentor Institute, this gathering features interactive presentations and workshops led by research faculty, doctoral students, local teachers, and district leaders.
UT System Collaboration
We work with our University of Texas System colleagues at UT Rio Grande Valley, UT San Antonio, and UT Tyler to implement THRIVE through their existing local partnerships with nearby school districts.

Sample Year 1 Implementation Plan
School districts are complex systems. We intervene at multiple levels to ensure alignment and make sure supports are appropriate and effective for each audience.
